There is so much power in the blood of Jesus. Power to save, heal, set free, restore and deliver. He died not just so that we could enter into Heaven, but so that we could also live in Victory every day.
We took communion in church this morning and although we didn’t sing this song - it popped in my head and I’ve been singing it all afternoon.
Reminded of the POWER in the blood & the extreme sacrifice He made so that we could be saved, set free, healed, delivered, restored & live in VICTORY every day! I think many Christians tend to shy away from talking about “the blood”, the cross, the excruciating death that Jesus endured, because to be quite honest it makes us uncomfortable to think about what he really went through.
When I saw the movie “The Passion of the Christ,” I could hardly watch that scene. I had to cover my eyes because it made me hurt just to see it on a screen. I can not imagine what it must have been like for Mary, the disciples and those who loved him to see Him suffer that immense pain.
I think it’s good for us to really take time to remember what He did for us & why He did it! Yes, it was so that we could be reunited with our Heavenly Father - because all have sinned & fallen short ...& sin separates us from God so He took the punishment we deserved and paid the price for us - but it was also so that we could live Victorious lives on this side of heaven too!!!
